The Open Water Diver program offers a lifetime of exciting adventure! This is your international certification to become part of an exclusive group of underwater explorers. Our goal is to make every step of your scuba experience all about your comfort and confidence in the water! SSI Dive Professionals make learning come alive with personalized instruction that will put your skills to use in reality based training scenarios. Our unique approach to dive training is known as “Comfort through Repetition.” By practicing each skill you’ve learned throughout each level of your training, your actions become conditioned responses or second nature! Repetition ensures you retain what you’ve already learned, while continuing to learn more. As a result, diving becomes fun!

In your open water course, you will have plenty of time to develop good diving habits and practice in the water. In order to help you feel confident, we promise to work with you on any skill until you are completely comfortable with it. In addition, you will have unlimited practice time in the pool in order to feel confident when it comes time to complete your Open Water evaluation dives.
Your Ticket to the Underwater World.
Upon completion of your Open Water training and certifcation dives, you will receive your certification card (c-card) which is your ticket to the underwater world! Now available on the SSI app, your c-card is always with you! The SSI Open Water Diver certification cards are recognized throughout the world. They entitle you to dive with other certified divers, enable you to purchase/rent equipment and obtain air fills anywhere you choose to dive.

To make sure all of your diving experiences are the best no matter where you are around the world, SSI has created the DiveSSI App. It’s free, easy to install and everything you need at home and abroad.
myTraining: Once you sign-up for the Open Water program, you will be registered in ODiN (SSI’s Online Divers Information Network). Your courses will be under “myTraining”. Then you can learn interactively and at your own pace, whenever and wherever you want with the DiveSSI App.
myCards: When you are certified, your Open Water certification will appear under the certification section in the DiveSSI App. Then, you will never leave home without your certification. All your c-cards will be available online and offline on your tablet or smartphone!
myDives: Yes, there’s more! You can also log all of your dives in the DiveSSI App, take a picture of your buddy and dive site and have your buddy or Dive Professional sign digitally right on your tablet or smartphone!
myBuddies: When you find new dive buddies around the globe, you can store their address and contact them any time you want to plan a dive trip.
myDocuments: You can also capture and store various documents you may need during your dive travels.
myEquipment: As you assemble your Total Diving System, you can enter each piece, the purchase date, serial numbers, warranty and the address of your Dive Center, the Authorized Dealer.
Events: Stay up-to-date for the latest trends, products and news from the world of SSI. Check out events for all activities globally or simply a get-together at the Dive Center.
myprofile: This is where you can store all of your personal information, change settings with the control center and only receive the information you want.
